One island, changing light

The first full-island model, explored through moving light and shadow.

Following the light.

The first full-island model was cut in moisture-resistant MDF and painted white. A rotating arm carried a COB light strip, with the wiring hidden inside.

As the light moved, shadows revealed mountains and valleys, then softened until the relief almost disappeared under head-on light.

The partition was cut into this model by way of asking - what does our island look like to people of different perspectives? What will it take for a United Ireland to be achieved? My own assumptions and perspective around this topic were revealed when a later model was exhibited.
